Soft Washing
Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, remove bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sanitized.
Soft washing consumes only one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and does not deteriorate or harm the surface like power washing often can. Soft washing also does so much more than pressure washing because it does more than simply clean your roof. The products utilized in the SoftWash System do not just clean; they penetrate, sanitize, and eliminate the root of the issue.
Treating your roof with soft washing is more like insect control – the combination of safe, eco-friendly chemicals guarantee that the microorganisms that create buildup are not just partly swept away, but removed totally.
Roof Cleaning and More
Soft washing can be performed on a wide variety of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that causes black streaks on roofs can likewise grow on:
- Concrete
- Brick
- Tile
- Wood
- Vinyl Siding
- Aluminum
- And more…
If you're searching for a way eliminate what's cultivating on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of annoying power washing and use a service that can remove the problem 100%.
Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable Chemicals in SoftWash
Oftentimes, people hesitate when they hear the word "chemicals," but it's actually not such a dirty word. In truth, everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).
The chemicals utilized in soft washing aid in the breakdown of contaminants and infestations, so they can be easily washed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days after their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.
4 Main Reasons to Soft Wash
There are a lot of reasons to select soft washing over pressure or power washing, but here are our biggest reasons:
- Alternative to pressure washing
Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened by decomposition or aging. It may be suitable for some tasks and not others.
- It actually treats the infestation
Your property isn't just dirty – it's contaminated. Normal pressure washing simply gets rid of the outer layer of this growth and doesn't resolve the root of the problem, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after power washing is finished.
- No damage from pressure
Inadequately trained or unskilled power washers can cause severe damage to a roof or other surfaces, specifically if it's older to begin with.
- More eco-friendly cleaning option
Power washers utilize from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of washing a pressure washer can use from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Conversely, soft washing only uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which consists of about 40 gallons of water.
The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than power washing, making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
